Providence Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN). This course offering is approved for contact hours applicable for RN or LPN re-licensure. Kansas State Board of Nursing number: LT 0054-1127. Participant must attend entire session to receive contact hours.

This Program has been approved for 6.5 Contact Hours total. Surgical Techs & LPNs are welcome.  Tech hours pending

    2. Describe candidates for bladder stimulators and two contraindications prevent being a candidate.
    3. Describe the effectiveness of SNM.

    2. List indications for surgical debridement.
    3. Describe types of debridement.
    4. Discuss complications of surgical debridement.

    1. Demonstrate uses and rationale for organ pumps.
    2. Describe recovery techniques involved.

 

  1. Speaker: Gabriela Flores:
    1. Recognize terminology and concepts related to transgender/gender non-conforming people.
    2. Illustrate health disparity data and trends that impact trans people.
    3. Discuss issues transgender/gender non-conforming people face in their daily lives and in navigating healthcare.
    4. Review resources, tips, and best practices for supporting transgender patients.

    1. Describe ways to prepare for a deposition.
    2. Discuss charting that should be included in the EMR specific to the perioperative environment.

    1. Discuss the viewpoint of a cancer diagnosis and navigation of treatment from the patient’s perspective.
    2. Describe the impact of caregiver relationships on a patient’s recovery.

 

 

Target audience: all perioperative nurses & healthcare personnel.

 

Overall Program Objective: Discuss topics that are pertinent to Perioperative nurses’ practice.
